WEF Davos 2027 · Monday 18 – Friday 22 January
Davos for venture capital firms and funds
Davos week puts founders, limited partners, family offices and companies in the same few streets. For a fund the useful hours are the ones you plan: a room for LP meetings, a dinner for the right twelve people, a base where the team can work.
We help with all of it, and we keep it private. We never name clients, and introductions happen only by mutual agreement.
Where investors meet during the week
For one week founders, limited partners, family offices, companies and governments are in the same few streets. Most of the useful hours happen outside the Congress Centre, in side events, private dinners and rooms that fund teams arrange for themselves.
These were the subjects closest to investing in the 2026 side programme. Each one opens the directory filtered to it.

A room for LP meetings and portfolio days
After the 15 August permit deadline a shop, a restaurant or a gallery can no longer be turned into your venue. A hotel boardroom or suite, a private chalet or an apartment still works for LP meetings, a portfolio showcase or a pitch day, with the owner's written consent and nothing branded visible from the street.
If you need a room for only part of the day, or two rooms for simultaneous meetings, we look at shared meeting space and check that two rooms are really two rooms.
Hosting a dinner for LPs and founders
Much of the real business of the week happens at a table for ten. We arrange private dining in chalets and restaurants and the kind of evening where the right people are in the room and nobody is on stage.
A base for the team
A chalet or a group of apartments the whole team can share, within walking distance of the Promenade, with a room for meetings. Klosters gives more space and privacy at the cost of a transfer. Tell us how many people and what the week is for, and we come back with what fits.
Privacy first
We never name clients, we do not say who stayed where, and we never pass a contact on without both sides agreeing. The private accommodation list goes out with an access code.
Visibility for a fund without a storefront
Branding that can be seen from the street needs a permit that is no longer available for 2027. A fund can still sponsor a side event, host a dinner, speak where its audience is and take public ad space. For 2028 we expect the window for a space that needs a permit to close in the summer of 2027.
Questions people ask
- Do fund managers need a WEF badge to do business in Davos?
- No. A WEF badge opens the Congress Centre. Most of the week's investor events, dinners and meetings run on their own registration, applications or invitations, outside the Congress Centre. Each listing on our side events page says how you get in.
- Where do VCs and LPs meet during Davos week?
- At side events and Houses along the Promenade, at private dinners, and in hotel rooms and chalets. In 2026 we mapped 52 side events on capital markets and investing, 21 on digital assets and fintech and 112 on AI, plus the dinners that never appear on any programme.
- Can a fund host an LP dinner or a portfolio showcase after 15 August?
- Yes, in a hotel room, a private chalet or an apartment, with the owner's written consent for corporate use. Screens and presentations inside are fine as long as nothing branded can be seen from the street. A shopfront or a restaurant converted into your venue needed a building permit applied for by 15 August 2026.
- Can two funds share a meeting room?
- In a hotel, chalet, apartment or office where the owner agrees, yes: one team in the morning and another in the afternoon, or two rooms in one property. We tell you which case you are in before you commit.
- Which side events fit a fund?
- It depends on what you came for: deal flow, LPs, a sector or a market. Davos Match asks what you are in Davos for and shows the side events that fit, and the 2027 side events page lists what hosts have announced so far.
- Can you introduce us to LPs or founders?
- We make introductions only when both sides have agreed, and we never pass on a contact without that. Tell us who you hope to meet and we say what we can do.
- Is it better to stay in Davos or in Klosters?
- Davos if the team moves between back-to-back meetings and cannot lose time in transit. Klosters if space and privacy matter more: larger chalets and more quiet, with about 25 minutes by train to Davos and a road transfer that can take much longer in snow.
- How early should a fund book?
- As early as you can. Central options fill six to nine months ahead, so for January 2027 what remains is limited. The best places for 2028 are agreed a year or more ahead, and booking ahead lets us check each space with the owner before you commit.
- Do you say which funds you work with?
- No. We never name clients and we do not say who stayed where.
The way forward
If you want to hear from someone who has worked with us, we ask them first and pass on contact only if they agree.
Tell us what the week is for
Your dates, how many people, and what you want to come home with. A person on the ground replies, usually within hours. We never name clients; introductions happen only by mutual agreement.
